Where heritage meets hustle. This transformation of a downtown Toronto heritage building into a modern office environment celebrates both character and culture. New and repurposed elements work to support a collaborative, impact-driven team.

Public Inc. wanted their Toronto office to echo the bold, fast-paced energy of their Manhattan studio, without sacrificing the charm of the heritage building they were housed in. The goal was to design a space that felt contemporary, efficient, and unmistakably "them."
We focused on maximizing flow and functionality, anchoring the layout in distinct zones for collaboration, quiet focus, and private conversations. Our approach honored the building’s original character while weaving in modern workplace expectations.
Balancing the preservation of architectural character with the integration of flexible, high-performance workspaces; without compromising sustainability or comfort.
A strategic space plan made full use of the building’s footprint, introducing privacy-enhancing elements like the Framery 2Q pod and optimizing natural light. Existing furniture and acoustic baffles were repurposed to reduce waste and maintain visual continuity. The result is a refreshed, functional office that reflects both legacy and ambition.
