A refined continuation of Metso’s Ontario office, this Montreal workspace balances tradition with evolution. Warm materials, human-scaled moments, and fluid layouts support hybrid work. Every detail, from lighting to zoning, advances Metso’s global identity with intention, sustainability, and a sense of place.
Metso’s Montreal workspace was envisioned as a natural evolution of the successful Ontario project, a space that could echo the brand’s global identity while celebrating local context. They imagined a return-to-office experience that was both meaningful and magnetic.
To translate this into built form, we embraced warmth and rhythm, weaving together traditional office cues with fluid layouts suited for hybrid work. The design nods to Metso’s industrial legacy while offering a softer, more human-scaled sensibility through light, texture, and thoughtful zoning.
The balance between familiarity and forward-thinking was delicate. Metso needed to stay true to their established workplace standards, but also leap toward future ways of working. Sustainability had to be integrated holistically, not just performatively.
We curated materials with integrity, choosing eco-conscious finishes that aligned with Metso’s sustainability goals. Spatial planning focused on flow, comfort, and collaboration between teams. From vendor partnerships to lighting choices, each detail was guided by function and feeling.
